Watercolour permanent lip makeup: details about the trending technique

Naturalness in the image has been a trend for the last few years. Everyone who strives for fashionable makeup resorts to the use of nude and pastel tones, discreet colours, with which they can highlight their beauty and hide imperfections. And permanent lip makeup comes in handy for this.

Dense lip colouring has been replaced by a new technique - watercolour lip tattooing. This is an ideal option for those who value naturalness in their appearance, but want to look elegant.

Watercolour permanent lip makeup (powder lips) became the heir to classic permanent makeup with pigment filling the entire surface of the lips. The technique is also performed using a traditional PM machine, but there are 4 significant differences from the classics:

• The pigment is introduced into the uppermost layers of the skin, to a depth of 1 mm. With classic tattooing, the depth of pigment insertion ranges from 1 and even 1.5 mm.

• Watercolour sponges are made using light tones of pigments. Pastel, nude, light shades of pink, and coral are suitable.

• Watercolour lip technique involves filling the entire surface of the lips with further shading of the pigment. But there is a transition in pigment density: closer to the contour it is brighter, and further away from it it smoothly fades away.

• Nude lip tattooing is the least traumatic technique due to the superficial introduction of pigment under the skin.

• After the tattoo has healed and the pigment has lightened, the lips become less bright, but at the same time they have an accent.

Unlike classic tattooing, which uses dense filling with a bright, very dense pigment colour, permanent makeup using the watercolour technique makes the lips look juicy, slightly voluminous, and refreshing. Watercolor looks light and relaxed, emphasising naturalness.

Today, lip watercolour is the most popular and sought-after technique. The relevance is due not only to the practically painless nature of the procedure, but also to the amazing effect - the lips appear painted, but retain their naturalness without pretentiousness.

Who is the watercolour tattoo technique suitable for?

The effect of watercolour tattooing looks natural and fresh thanks to the ability to mix several shades and soft shading. Therefore, this technique looks beautiful on the lips of both young and older clients. The natural colour of the lips or features of appearance do not matter - the choice of shade palette is so wide that you can get absolutely any shade: from deep pink to fashionable nude. Today, more and more people are choosing beige lips.

Also choose this technique if:

• you are tired of applying lipstick or gloss to your lips every hour, which spreads, gets eaten or rubs off on your clothes or hair;

• you want to hide minor imperfections in the area: scars, age-related or congenital pigmentation, traces of sores;

• you want to slightly change the shape of your lips: visually raise the corners of your mouth, make your lips fuller;

• you want to change the natural colour of your lips, refresh it, add brightness or hide an uneven lip line.

And, of course, trust the work to professionals. Permanent makeup is not a procedure on which you should skimp. After all, a competent choice of the depth of pigment injection, as well as the use of high-quality materials, guarantees an impeccable result. Trust your specialist and follow their recommendations.
