Autumn is the best time to start laser hair removal treatment

It is not unusual to think about our “summer bodies” when the summer is already here. However, with laser hair removal, it is beneficial to take action aforehand so that your skin is smooth, beautiful and ready for the season! Here we are sharing a few facts about when it is better to start a laser hair removal course (and why it is autumn):

So, when is the best time to start?

As a matter of fact, you can start the course at any time - the doors of our salon are open all year round.

It is very common for people to make an appointment with a beautician shortly before a vacation trip or a holiday season, in hopes of a quick result.

Yet, laser hair removal works differently. After all, even the most advanced techniques require at least 5-10 sessions with different frequency of those sessions, depending on the area being epilated, and the full course lasts a little over a year. And despite the fact that the results can be seen after 1-2 sessions, to achieve the desired effect, you need to go through at least 3-4 procedures over the course of several months. And the sooner you start the course, the more likely you will meet the beach season head-on!

Why autumn is the best time for the procedure? There are a few reasons for that:

1. Decreased sun activity.

Affecting exposed areas of skin treated with a laser, direct rays of the sun can provoke the appearance of white and brown spots. In autumn, those areas are mostly hidden under clothing which provides maximum UV protection;

2. The need for a series of procedures.

The first sessions allow you to get rid of the unwanted hair only for a while. To consolidate the results, cosmetologists carry out 5-10 repetitions of the procedure once a month. And by starting the course in the autumn, you will be able to finish it just at the beginning of the holiday season;

3. Minimization of consequences.

The principle of laser hair removal is based on the heating of melanin. In tanned skin, the concentration of this pigment is much higher than the rest of the year, so the risk of getting burned increases significantly. In the fall, the summer tan fades and the melanin concentration drops significantly, therefore, the likelihood of negative consequences is reduced tenfold;

4. Easier preparation process.

As you probably know, a few weeks before the procedure it is necessary to let the hair grow out and stop removing it with tweezers, wax, depilatory cream or a razor. For effective removal, the length of the hair must be at least 1 mm. And normally, doing that is less uncomfortable in autumn, than in summer.
